Do It Yourself Session and Queer Talk American and German Pride

The queer histories of the US and Germany have always been interwoven, thanks to brave activists who paved the way for our rights on Christopher Street and beyond.

Join creator JJ Herdegen (they/them) for an open Do It Yourself (DIY) space and conversations about how the US and Germany fight for our pride and how we can learn from each other’s communities.

Create bracelets with empowering phrases or bring your own DIY project along! You can either join in the conversation (in English) or simply craft and let yourself be bedazzled by pearls and words.

Native English and German speakers will be present. We want to make our DIY space as accessible as possible. If you have any questions or suggestions please let us know:
